SAMK and SeAMK receive 769 000 euro of project funding for the development of digitalisation and AI

SAMK (Satakunta University of Applied Sciences) and SeAMK ( Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences) have received 769 000 euro of project funding for their joint project ”More Start-ups and Growth through Digitalisation and Artificial Intelligence” from the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture. In this joint project SAMK and SeAMK combine their strengths to accelerate the growth of businesses with the help of digitalisation. SeAMk is well experienced in start-ups, digital manufacturing and industrial internet. SAMK’s strength in the project is the strong know-how in the fields of automation, robotics, AI and in enterprise accelerator.

The common research and entrepreneurship platform will deepen the co-operation and synergies between the two universities and will also improve their role in regional, national international innovation ecosystems. I the core of the collaboration is the technology transfer for enterprises. The universities’ laboratories, SAMK’s Robocoast R&D and SeAMK’s IIoT Lab will together support the start-ups in implementing new technologies. The cooperation will also benefit the students at both universities by introducing new study modules and new cooperation projects with companies.
